Vineyard Rorick Heritage Vineyard is one of the most magical California vineyards we have visited. Home to over 16 grape varieties, it is one of the few vineyards in California to present all the necessary elements for phenomenal grape growing. From the handful of soil types (schist, quarts, marble, limestone – to name a few) to the different exposures and elevations, Rorick Heritage Vineyard is providing fruit to many of California's top winemakers.
Soil Schist and limestone
Vinification The '15 Trousseau was hand picked and fermented with 100% stem inclusion (clusters were given vigorous treading prior to fermentation) in an open top fermenter. The wine was on skins and stems until the end of fermentation (fourteen days total) at which time it was pressed and racked down to 500L puncheon. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Aging 6 months in neutral 500L puncheon
Production 127 cases
