Vineyard This long-abandoned parcel was cleared in 1996 and then planted in 2003. The vines are southwest-facing on a hill overlooking the Cher river and the Gallo-Roman monument Tasciaca.
Soil Marl-limestone blend on limestone bedrock. Top soil of small stones, brown clay, and marl
Viticulture All vineyard work is done by hand. The vines are never irrigated.
Vinification After being harvested by hand, the grapes are direct pressed. The fermentation is slow, aged on fine lees until April, and then bottled.
Aging Aged in stainless steel tanks.
Notes This wine was first produced during the 2016 harvest after Alain and Simon decided to stop selling its fruit to the local cooperative.
