Pinot Noir Santa Barbara County 2017

Tatomer Vintage 2017 Bottle Sizes 750ml Country United States Region California Appellation Santa Barbara Wine Type Red - Still Varietals Pinot Noir Vineyard This Pinot Noir is a blend of multiple clones and vineyards around the Sta. Rita Hills appellation of Santa Barbara. All the vineyards are sustainably farmed, hand harvested, and one of them, Duvarita, is certified Biodynamic. Vinification Each clone is harvested separately and fermented in small batches. "I am a fan of whole cluster fermentation due to the aromatic lift and pallet feel it gives. About 50% of this wine was fermented this way. Vinification was executed with an emphasis on minimal extraction. Only one punchdown per day during primary fermentation, and then gently pressed. From this point on, the wine is only moved with gravity. All of the lots were aged for 12 months in neutral French oak. The wine was bottled without finning or filtration." - Graham Tatomer Aging Aged for 12 months in neutral French barrique. Production 1,000 cases. Notes "My wines are distinctly Californian, while having an old-world aesthetic. I always try to make wines that are both easy to drink, and pair well with food. This was certainly my intention with this wine." - Graham Tatomer Back to Current Releases
