This results in a wine with impressive vibrancy but exceptional seriousness driven by the blend of varieties from vineyards carefully selected and located in Mendocino, Napa, Sonoma, and Suisun counties. 58% Mendocino, 31% Solano, 7% Napa Valley, 3% Carneros, 1% Sierra Foothills Viticulture All vineyard work is done by hand. Yields are small and only sustainable methods are used. Vinification Approximately 25% of the blend was fermented whole cluster. All of the grapes were fermented in concrete and then pressed into older French oak barrels, a few puncheons, and concrete tanks, with an eye on the transparency of fruit. Malolactic occurred naturally with the wine receiving a light sulfur addition immediately before bottling. Production 3,000 cases produced Notes "Raspberry tart, sweet summer flowers, bramble, and the slightest hint of grilled meats and cherry pie.
