Audeant Vintage 2019 Bottle Sizes 750ml Country United States Region Oregon Appellation Yamhill-Carlton, Willamette Valley Wine Type Red - Still Varietals Pinot Noir Vineyard Luminous Hills Vineyard sits high in Oregon’s coast range, even in this vintage’s abundant sunshine, it ripens with light, rather than heat. This vineyard is always last to be harvested. Luminous Hills is dramatically tucked into a steep, forested slope on the eastern side of Oregon’s coastal range and is owned by Byron Dooley. Its high elevation preserves acidity, while its steep slopes provide excellent exposure to the sun. Luminous Hills: 55% 667 & 45% Pommard; Yamhill-Carlton AVA; 875 feet elevation; south-east exposure. Soil Interestingly it transitions from volcanic soils, primarily Jory, on top, to eroded marine sedimentary rock, Willakenzie and Peavine, on the bottom. Vinification The wine is pressed to barrel with 67% whole cluster inclusion. 18 months undisturbed on the lees, racked once to tank for bottling (45% New French oak).
