Alexandre Lamblot Vintage 2018 Bottle Sizes 750ml Country France Region Champagne Appellation Champagne (Montagne de Reims) Wine Type Sparkling Varietals 100% Meunier Farming Organic Vineyard From a single densely planted plot in Vrigny in Montagne de Reims. Vines are 25 to 50 years old. Soil Sandy clay. Viticulture Vineyards are farmed using organic methods : mobile chicken coop to place chickens in the vineyard to clean the soils, encourage biodiversity, add natural fertilizer / Development of vitiforestry (trees planted in vineyards) / Careful hand pruning according to the moon / No chemical fertilizers, only natural organic French products / Natural grass growing in the vineyards / Grinding up vine cuttings in the parcels / No use of insecticides / Extensive debudding, green harvest / Mechanical work in the vineyard with lightweight tractors for the soil / Attentive trellissing / Organic treatments (sulfur and very little copper) / Essential oils to diminish the doses of copper and sulfur / Braiding of the vines. Vinification The grapes are lightly pressed and fermented using natural yeast. Vinification occurs in stainless steel tank and oak barrels. No Chaptalisation, no fining, no filtration. Malolactic fermentation can occur but is not forced. The juice is bottled on fruit days in locally produced bottles. Frénésie is bottled under bottle cap. All riddling is done by hand and Alexandre will "poignettages" - pick up the bottles and shake them to remix yeast during aging (twice for this cuvée). Disgorement is done by hand according to the lunar calendar without any added SO2 or dosage. Production 1560 bottles. Back to Current Releases
