Champagne Cuvée L’Orme 2015

Benoît Déhu Vintage 2015 Bottle Sizes 750ml Country France Region Champagne Appellation Champagne (Vallée de la Marne) Wine Type Sparkling Varietals 100% Pinot Noir Farming Biodynamic Vineyard 1.5 hectares of Pinot Noir planted at the bottom of the hill of the Rue de Noyers parcel. "L'orme" is an elm tree in French, paying homage to a large plantation of elms that were previously on site. One large elm tree is still in the vineyard, planted among the vines. Soil Pinot Noir parcel lies at the bottom of the hill where the soil has a sandy component. Both parcels are dominated by green clay over limestone. Viticulture The vines are farmed biodynamically by Benoît; worked by hand and horse, treated with compost tea, and sprayed with copper. Simple Guyot pruning is employed. Vines are planted at 8,000 plants/ hectare. Yields are approximately 60 hl/ ha. Vinification Vinified for 10 months on the lees in 228L barrels. Unfiltered. Aging The wine rests sur lattes for approximately 34 months. Disgorged without dosage. Released in August. Production Extremely limited Back to Current Releases
