Yann Bertrand Vintage 2020 Bottle Sizes 750ml Country France Region Beaujolais Appellation Beaujolais Village Wine Type Red - Still Varietals Gamay Farming Organic Vineyard Yann purchased the 0.75 hectare vineyard in 2015. The vineyard lies east, right across the road from the eastern side of cru Morgon. The vineyard is separated into three parcels of 30, 60, and 90 year old vines. The vineyard has been planted with natural grass cover. Soil Granite Viticulture The vineyard is farmed using organic methods and tradition goblet pruning. Vineyard is planted at 11,000 plants per hectare. Vinification Cold temperature for 24 hours then cold fermentation begins at 7 degrees Celsius for carbonic maceration. Maceration last for 18 days. Nothing is added to the vinification process. Wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered in the Spring in accordance to the lunar calendar. Aging Aged in concrete vats for 6 months. Production 5,000 bottles produced. Notes The name of the cuvée name displays Yann's passion for natural wine and his respect for vigneron Jules Chauvet. Chauvet is one of the first men to work in natural wines and his first cuvée was named "Pure Oh!rigine." Back to Current Releases
