Vineyard Vineyard is farmed organically and owned by Benoit Landron of Domaine Landron-Chartie. 1 hectare of gamay vines facing west in the parcel named “Les Ronces”.
Viticulture Vineyards are farmed organically. Simple Guyot pruning is employed. "Labours et griffages des sols, travaux en vert." = Soils are worked, plowed, and scratched by hand. Green work.
Vinification The juice is gravity fed. There are no pumps used in the cellar. Whole cluster fermentation for 10 days without draining any juice. Wild yeast fermentation only with no racking. Grapes are pressed directly via pneumatic press. All vinification in stainless steel tanks.
Aging Aged in 450 litres Amphores for 9 months. Bottled without fining, filtration, and with minimal SO2 (<15 mg/L).
Production 3,690 bottles.
Notes Label = Cathédrale St Vitus – Prague. // "The Gamay is the king of Beaujolais but also very well on the slopes of the Loire. This 4 hands vintage from the well-known plot "Les Ronces" and made with my friend Ben Landron is the proof if it was needed. So enjoy life, drink wine, enjoy good Gamay de Loire!
