Etienne Calsac Vintage NV Bottle Sizes 750ml Country France Region Champagne Appellation Champagne (Côte des Blancs, Grande Vallée de la Marne) Wine Type Sparkling - Rosé Varietals 90 % Chardonnay (Bisseuil and Avize) and 10% Pinot Noir (Vertus). Farming Organic practicing. Vineyard Chardonnay from the terroirs of Bisseuil and Avize. Pinot Noir is from Vertus. Vines average 30 years of age. Exposure is south, south-east. Soil Limestone and chalk. Viticulture Vineyards are worked organically and plowed by tractor and horse. Vines are planted at a density of 7,575 vines/hectare. Vinification Direct press of the entire harvest with separation of the juice. Wine aged on the lees in a combination of stainless steel tank and used barrique (20%) before bottling. The base wine is 2018, along with 30% reserve wine from a perpetual blending which began in 2011. Malolactic fermentation completes naturally. Aging Aged for 24 months sur lattes.
