Vineyard Between the Marne and the Vessel rises in a vast promontory with undulating edges, the Mountains of Reims with its copses and its thick woods, extended from East to West about 30 kilometers long and 6 to 10 kilometers wide. The vineyard on the flanks west and north of the massif, form a vast semicircle from Louvois to Villers-Allerand. The vineyards line the limestone slopes cut by narrow valleys and exposed to the south and south-east of the renowned Bouzy and Ambonnay crus. They skirted the mountain on the terrors of Trépail and Villers Marmery to hide in the fold and undulations of the North side, thus bordering the plain of Reims and enclosing the coquettish agglomerations of the famous Verzy, Verzenay, Mailly and Ludes wines.
