Domaine de la Grand’Cour (Dutraive) Vintage 2021 Bottle Sizes 750ml Country France Region Beaujolais Appellation Fleurie Wine Type Red - Still Varietals Gamay Farming Certified organic Vineyard From two of the domaine's terroirs. The first is their monopole Le Clos, a eight hectare monopole vineyard of vines ranging from 30 to 70 years old. The second is Les Deduits, a one hectare vineyard of 60 year old vines. The vines of both vineyards face south, south-east. Soil Decomposed granite/ pink granite. Viticulture As with all of Dutraive's vineyards, the vines are farmed organically and worked by hand. The domaine has been certified organic since 2009. Vinification 15-20% of the fruit was de-stemmed. Semi-carbonic maceration with no added sulfer and natural yeast. Vinification occurs in concrete before aging in futs de chene (barrel). Wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO2 added. Aging Aged for 7 months in futs de chene (barrel). Production Very limited. Notes After another devastating year of 90% yield lost due to weather, the terroirs Le Clos and Les Deduits are combined in 2017 to make this special release. The hailstorm in July destroyed much of the domaine's vines including all of La Chapelle des Bois which sits right across the small dirt road from the top of Le Clos. Back to Current Releases
