Marie Courtin Vintage 2014 Bottle Sizes 750ml, 1.5L Country France Region Champagne Appellation Champagne (Côte des Bar) Wine Type Sparkling Varietals Pinot Noir Farming Biodynamic Vineyard A single parcel in Polisot facing south-east, east and planted by massale selection. Vines are approximately 40 years old and sit at the bottom of the parcel comprised of a higher percentage of clay. Soil Clay and Kimmeridgian Limestone. Viticulture Dominique Moreau and her children farm their parcel biodynamically. Vines are planted at a density of 8,000 vines per hectare. The one parcel is broken up into four parts depending on rootstock and vine age. All vineyard work is done by hand. Pruning does not begin until the Spring. Only copper is used in the vineyard. Vinification Grapes are lightly pressed and native yeast fermentation occurs in a combination of 228L and 600L barriques. Malolactic completes naturally. Aging The wine rests sur lattes for three years before disgorgement with no dosage. Production 6,000 bottles. Back to Current Releases
